C’est là que tout commence.
Né d’une mère française et d’un père britannique, Raymond Seignon, de son vrai nom Neil Harris, grandit en France, en région parisienne.
À 24 ans, il déménage à Londres qui deviendra son pied-à-terre. Durant les 10 années qui suivent il vivra entre Londres et différents pays comme l’Australie, la Nouvelle-Zélande et le Japon.
La photo s’impose d’elle même dans la vie de Raymond Seignon. Fasciné par la diversité des paysages, des gens et de l’architecture qu’il découvre, il ressent le besoin de capturer ces endroits et ces moments qui le font vibrer. Ce qui débute par être un simple loisir, se transforme assez rapidement en passion.
En 2021, il décide de suivre une formation en photographie à Montréal, où il vit encore aujourd’hui. Il sera diplômé en 2023.
Attiré par la photo d’architecture, les paysages et le portrait, et avec un style minimal, conceptuel et coloré, les photos de Raymond Seignon se rapprochent du documentaire lyrique.
Il ne capture pas seulement une scène mais plutôt l’émotion que lui suscite cette scène.
On retrouve dans ses images une forme de politesse dissimulée et une nostalgie assumée. Ses images nous amènent dans un univers poétique qui parfois frôle l’imaginaire.

This is where it all began.
Born from a French mother and a British father, Raymond Seignon, by his real name Neil Harris, grew up in France, near Paris.
At 24 years old, he moves to London, place that will become his pied-à-terre. During the next 10 years, he will be living in London and different countries like Australia, New-Zealand and Japan.
Photography will take a big place in Raymond Seignon's life. Fascinated by the diversity of the landscapes, the people and the architecture he discovers, he feels the need to capture those places and those moments. What was supposed to be a simple hobby, quickly becomes a passion. In 2021, he decides to study photography in Montreal , where he lives today. He will graduate in 2023, winning the Prix Excellence of his cohort. This award demonstrates the professionalism, the quality of the portfolio and the quality of the final project.
Attracted by architectural photography, landscape and portraits, and with a style minimalistic, conceptual and colourful, Raymond Seignon's pictures lean towards the lyrical documentary.
He doesn't only capture a scene but rather the emotion and feeling that this scene inspires him.
We find in his images a form of hidden politeness and an accepted nostalgia. His photos bring us in a poetic universe that sometimes borders the imaginary.
